On or about September 1, 2023, Kimtron, Inc., Licensee of WYDE, 1260 kHz, Birmingham, AL, intends to commence all-digital operations on WYDE(AM). The result of this all-digital conversion will be greatly improved FM-like fidelity and much more robust digital reception for listeners employing HD-capable radios. Listeners without HD-capable receivers will be unable to listen to WYDE on its 1260 kHz AM frequency, but the same programming will be simulcast on FM station WYDE-FM, 92.5 MHz and FM translator W237EK on 95.3 MHz in Birmingham.
